^Inleiding

^{Sinds de jaren tachtig van de vorige eeuw houdt de auteur van deze website zich bezig met het onderzoek naar de materiële cultuur van onze voorouders. Zijn specialisatie betreft archeologische vondsten die gedateerd kunnen worden vanaf de volle middeleeuwen tot en met de 19de eeuw. De resultaten van zijn onderzoek zijn in vele nationale- maar ook internationale vakbladen en rapportages gepubliceerd. Daarnaast heeft hij als eerste auteur een tweetal boeken over tabakspijpen op zijn naam staan.}

^{De resultaten van het jarenlange onderzoek worden op deze website gepresenteerd. Dit zijn met name publicaties over tabakspijpen, aardewerk en (textiel)loden. Daarnaast komen ook onderwerpen aan de orde die tot het interessegebied van de auteur behoren.}

^{Op verzoek van archeologische diensten en archeologische bureau's wordt expertise tegen onkostenvergoeding ter beschikking gesteld.}

^{Since the eighties of the last century, the author of this website is concerned with the investigations of material culture of our ancestors. His specialization concerns archaeological finds that can be dated from the Middle Ages until the 19th century. The results of his research has been published in many national- and international journals and on symposia. Besides that he is also the first author of two books on tobacco pipes.}
